Using a blend of techniques acquired from a decade of experience in schools, both traditional and Montessori, I create a consistent and targeted plan to support your child’s needs. For children who have fears around maths, I use a variety of techniques to help them them visualize and express mathematically, using their style of learning to build their confidence.
To better understand the needs of your child I offer a free 20 minute session before we begin regular sessions. During this time, we will go through a variety of exercises to evaluate your child’s needs.
If you would like to extend this preliminary session to a full hour, we can begin working the same day.

Using a blend of techniques acquired from a decade of experience in schools, beginning as the reading teacher in an American public school, I take a wholistic view to your child’s progress in language skills. I work with your child to assess and then support their receptive language, expressive language, vocabulary and comprehension, ability to decode while reading and ability to encode when writing. The pace is fun and challenging, tailored to your child’s needs.

For older students who are submitting larger assignments in school for a grade, I offer a review of their assignment as well as personalized suggestions and instruction for how to strengthen their work. I offer support in all secondary school topics and essay writing.
This can form regular sessions for children who need consistent support or planned only when needed for a specific assignment.
When not part of regular sessions, I ask that the student sends me their rough draft and a description of the assignment at least two business days before our meeting. We will then meet for half an hour online to go over the revisions together.
This service is on an at-need basis and can be added on to or separate from tutoring sessions.

1-week programs held in Madrid each summer, from 10am – 1pm Monday – Friday. Sessions are available to children ages 9-15. Sessions are €145 per week, discounts for siblings are available.
Payment is due at time of service unless monthly billing has been arranged in advance. Invoices are sent by email and are due within 15 days. Please check your inboxes as different servers can filter these emails in various ways! Like a hotel or a hairdresser, advance notice is required for cancellations or changes. Failed appointments will be charged in full.
